The ER One Institute is committed to innovation and advanced technology applied to practice, training and education, research, and systems integration; all in the service of improving the emergency readiness of our nation’s hospitals and health care systems. Because ER One Institute is housed at the major receiving hospital in the National Capital Region, our work is grounded in daily hospital operations and we have direct access to clinical sites and healthcare personnel to implement and test our new solutions and technologies. We serve as expert consultants for the training and education of hospital providers to respond to conventional and unconventional events. We have over 400 on-line learning modules, including 3-D imaging, hands-on Hospital Disaster Life Support (HDLS) courses, HDLS Update courses (HDLS II), Hospital Security Preparedness (HSP) courses and 4 Annual Conferences. The ER One Institute is also an expert in the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) management. |
